John J. Kulaga Jr.

John J. Kulaga Jr. 86, of Reading, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at the Reading Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was the loving husband to Patricia A. (Biondo) for over 60 years of marriage, before her passing on May 7, 2016. Born in Reading, John was the son of the late, John J. Kulaga Sr. and Ivo M. (Blandford). John worked for Penn Optical as a grinder for over 40 years before his retirement.

John is survived by his children, John J. Kulaga III, companion of Lisa A. Himmelreich, of Temple, William S. Kulaga Sr., companion of Sharon L. Campbell of West Lawn, Robert B. Kulaga, husband of Tammy, of Muncy Valley, Brian K. Kulaga, companion of Kathleen P. Strelecki, of Old Forge, Richard L. Kulaga, husband of Trina, of Reading, and Karen L. Waidelich, wife of Glenroy, of Kutztown. He is also survived by his 21 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and his brother, Frank Kulaga.

In addition to his wife Patricia, John is predeceased by his sons, Steven M. Kulaga, Glen A. Kulaga, as well as siblings, James Kulaga, Richard Kulaga, and Theresa Nicholson.

Memorial service for John will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, at 11:00 AM in Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring. Amy Landis, Certified Celebrant to officiate. Inurnment to follow in Pleasant View Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and guests in Bean Funeral Home, Sinking Spring, on Friday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
