John Michel Troutman Sr., 80, of Sinking Spring, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the Reading Hospital. John was the loving husband to Marjorie Ann (Hinz) Troutman for over 57 years of marriage. Born in Reims, France to the late Harvey M. Troutman and Micheline (Gavroy) Troutman. John was a graduate of Wilson High School class of 1965 and went on to serve in the United States Army. He later went into business for himself, owning and operating Troutman Painting for over 40 years.
John had many passions during his blessed 80 years. The first was spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He was very proud of all of them, and loved cheering them on at their sporting events and sharing hobbies together.
Another passion was hunting and fishing. He spent many pastimes with friends and family traveling all over the country to hunt(feed squirrels), and fish, hoping for the big catch.
He also loved traveling the world with his wife and friends. In his lifetime he visited all 50 states and many European countries, creating memories with wonderful stories to tell.
It was his love of Disney that together with Marjorie ,they visited every year with their family, including a Disney Cruise.
He never missed the opportunity to cheer on the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles.
In addition to his wife Marjorie, John is survived by his sons, John M. Troutman Jr., husband of Rosemarie, of Sinking Spring, Jeffrey J. Troutman, husband of Dawn, of Sinking Spring. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Michael J. Blatt, Ashley Nicole Troutman, Alexa Rose Troutman, Collin J. Troutman, Zachary J. Troutman, brother, Dennis H. Troutman of Wernersville, and sister, Michele Y. Skorupsky, of Exeter Township.
Funeral service for John will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 12:30 PM in Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, PA 19608. Interment to follow in Sinking Spring Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and guests in Bean Funeral Home, Sinking Spring, on Thursday, July 23, 2026,from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and on Friday, July 24, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Department of Veterans Affairs, https://www.cdceportal.va.gov/donate_online/. Online guestbook and condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
