John P. Turnick

John P. Turnick, 98, passed away Monday, December 22, 2025 at 10:30 am at Maidencreek Place. He was the husband of Dolores Marie (Kalafut) Turnick. Born in Scranton, Mr. Turnick was the son of the late John and Ruth (Petch) Turnick. He was a member of Saint John Roman Catholic Church, Binghamton NY and a member of Knights of Columbus Council # 206 and also received his Fourth Degree (Patriotic Degree). Mr. Turnick was employed by IBM in Owego, New York in the finance department until his retirement. He also served in the United States Army National Guard. In addition to his wife, Mr. Turnick is survived by his children David Turnick husband of Ellen M. Turnick of Spring Township; Marylynn Reid wife of Steve Reid of Summerville, South Carolina; Kevin Turnick husband of Angie Turnick of Cincinnati, Ohio and his 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his 2 siblings.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint John Baptist de la Salle Roman Catholic Church, Kerrick Road , Shillington at the convenience of the family. Entombment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City, New York.
