Joseph A. Bolognese

Joseph A. Bolognese, born January 19, 1929, in Reading, died January 14, 2024, at Phoebe in Wernersville.  Son of Nicola and Regina (DaDamio) Bolognese (deceased); brother John L. (deceased); married Louise (Farina) Bolognese (deceased), mother of son James A. Bolognese, husband of Debora L. (Shuman) Bolognese; married Dolores J. (Pacena) Bolognese in 1965, mother of son David L. Bolognese (deceased); grandchild Jodi A. Bolognese married to Holly D. Swan.  Graduated Reading High School 1946, played baseball, football, and American Legion baseball.  Graduated Lafayette College, Mechanical Engineering, 1950, Phi Beta Kappa.  U.S. Army 1951-1953, Korean War.  Employed at Gilbert Associates and Bechtel Corp.  Former member of Shillington Church of Christ.  Volunteered for Meals-on-Wheels, Reading and St. Joseph Hospitals, driver for Diakon.  Interment will be private at Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum in Laureldale per the convenience of the family.  Bean Funeral Home, Sinking Spring is in charge of arrangements and online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com.
