Joseph Driscoll

Joseph J. Driscoll, 78, of Cumru Township, passed away December 18, 2008 at 2:40 pm in the Reading Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, NY he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Rose V.(McGovern) Driscoll. He was a graduate of Brooklyn Prep School and a 1952 graduate of Villanova University with a BS in Economics. He served in the United States Navy as Lt. JG from 1953-1956. After a career in accounting, Mr. Driscoll was an executive administrater for Malvern Institute for over 10 years. During retirement was a manager at Flying Hills Golf Course Pro Shop. He was a member of St. Benedict's RCC where he served as a Eucharistic minister. Mr. Driscoll is survived by a son Jack husband of Jolene P. Driscoll of Phoenixville and a daughter Mary Lou Driscoll of Reading. He is also survived by a sister Rosemary(Driscoll) Sullivan of Fairfield, NJ; a brother George M. Driscoll of Brooklyn, NY; grandchildren Matthew O. and Andrew P. Driscoll; Tim Drabyak and Denise J. McCoy. He was preceded in death by a brother James Driscoll
