Joyce Benstead

Joyce Benstead, 85, formerly of Reading, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at 12:24 p.m. at Berks Heim.

Born in Redcar, Yorkshire, England, she was a daughter of the late Albert E. Benstead and Lily (Lewis) Weatherill, and step daughter of the late Harry Weatherill.

She was a member of the British Royal Navy, and was a member of Pennside Presbyterian Church.

She worked as a Vice President and Branch Administrator for Meridian Bank in Reading for 36 years, retiring on January 1, 1985.

She is survived by her sister: Dorothy Barker of Strasburg, PA, and several nieces and nephews.

She was pre deceased by her sister: A. Shirley Williams, who passed away in June of 2008.
