Kathleen C. Hospidor

Kathleen C. Hospidor, 84, of Reading, PA passed away peacefully on April 29, 2026, with her loving husband of 54 years Robert J. Hospidor at her side. Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Cecilia (Pointek) Kral.

Kathy was a member of a very small St. Peter’s Catholic High School graduating class where she developed several lifelong friendships. After graduation she worked in the admissions office at St. Josephs Hospital. Always looking to advance herself she became a social worker at the PA Department of Welfare and rose up through the ranks to become a supervisor. She eventually transferred to Harrisburg to become the administrative assistant to the Director of PA Human Resources in the Eastern counties of PA.

Suffering the loss of several family members at a very young age, she accepted familial responsibilities. To give back to the community she mentored students and taught ESL at RACC. She was also a volunteer at BCTV and Kennedy House. She and Bob took much pleasure in traveling and completing the NYT crossword puzzle.

Kathy had a quiet personality, was sharp witted and often would make the most appropriate comments by cutting to the bottom line of an issue.

Kathleen could always be counted on to be the voice of reason. She was sensible, a problem solver and detail oriented.

She is predeceased by her parents, sisters, nephew, stepson Todd Hospidor, and Uncle Anthony whom she lived.
