Kathleen M. "Kathy" Long

Kathleen M. “Kathy” Long, 75, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of K. Scott Long, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and unwavering partnership.

Born in Reading, Kathy was the daughter of the late Bernard J. and Margaret E. (Weiser) Herb. She was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church and a dedicated Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway, where she built lasting relationships grounded in trust, care, and genuine kindness.

More than any title or career, Kathy’s greatest joy in life was her family. She poured her heart into being a wife, mother and grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were her world, and her deep, unconditional love shaped their lives in ways that will never be forgotten.

Kathy’s spirit was one of light — she had an uncanny ability to make everyone feel seen, valued, and loved. Her compassion touched countless lives, and her laughter could brighten even the heaviest of days. She will be remembered for her strength, her grace, her boundless generosity, and the way she loved without limits.

In addition to her husband Scott, Kathy is survived by her beloved children Justin S. Long of Birdsboro; Erica A. Buzydlowski of Muhlenberg Township; Tyler A. Long, husband of Tiffany M. Long, of Lower Heidelberg Township; Scott P. Long, husband of Carisa L. Long, of Birdsboro; and Nicholas A. Long of Birdsboro. She is also survived by her treasured grandchildren Aliyah, Mallory, Daniel, Trey, Colbie, Tyson, and Nolan, each of whom brought immeasurable joy to her heart.

Funeral Procession will depart Bean Funeral Home, 1605 Rockland Street, Hampden Heights, Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 10:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Robert F. Rienzo, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home Monday, November 10, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Those who were fortunate enough to know Kathy will forever carry her love within them. Her presence may no longer fill a room, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed by her kindness and her endless love.
