Kathryn Albrecht

Kathryn Albrecht, 99, formerly of Shillington, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Phoebe Berks. She was the beloved wife of 74 years of Stanley P. Albrecht, who passed away on June 3, 2024. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Bessie (Piscitello) DiDino.

Kathryn was a graduate of St. Peter’s High School in Reading.

In the early stages of her career, Kathryn was employed as a typist for Beaumont Heller & Sperling Advertising Company.

She was also a co-owner of the Orth Auction House on Morgantown Road with her husband for 20 years until her retirement in 1995. Kathryn loved antiquing, decorating, reading, and collecting purses and shoes.

Kathryn and her husband Stanley delighted in spending time at their condo in Stone Harbor.

Kathryn is survived by her daughter, Deborah A. Hawk, wife of Wayne E Hawk, of Sinking Spring; grandchildren, Zachary Hawk, husband of Bethany Henry, of Lewisberry, Pa; Mallory Hawk, wife of Hamilton Lane, of Burlington, NJ; and great grandchildren Xander and Zaria Lane.

She was predeceased by her sister Rose Smolnik.

Graveside service will be held at Gethsemane Cemetery 3139 Kutztown Road Reading, PA 19605 on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 11:00am. Funeral procession to gather on Friday at 10:15am at Bean Funeral Homes 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, PA 19608, to depart at 10:30am.
