Kathryn “Kathy” A. (Brown) Stichter, 73, of Reading passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 in Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Ethel (Beissel) and Howard Brown, Sr. Kathy was the loving wife of the late Richard Stichter, Sr., together they shared 53 years of marriage. She explored various opportunities in the work place but she was most proud of being a seamstress. Kathy enjoyed going to yard sales and flea markets with her husband. She also liked going to the casinos, gardening, and watching Hallmark and black and white movies. Kathy loved spending time with her family and had a deep love for German Shepherds.
Kathy is survived by her children, Lisa Thomas, wife of Daniel of Reading, Richard Stichter, Jr., husband of Kerry of Florida, and Howie Stichter, husband of Angela of Centerport. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Karisa, fiancé of Kody, Brad, Anastasia, Devon, Colby, and Madison, her great grandchildren, Lukas and Landon, her sister, Darlene “Dolly” Brown of Reading, and her loving canine companion, Cheyenne. In addition to her husband, Richard, Kathy is preceded in death by her siblings, Evelyn “Evie” Perfetto, Howard “Junior” Brown, Jr., Robert “Bobby” Brown, and Myrtle Brown, and her loving dogs, Sarge, Tasha, Angel, Rocky, and Baron.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 12:00 pm in Bean Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1605 Rockland Street, Hampden Heights. Celebrant Amy Landis to officiate. The family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday, December 10th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm in Bean Funeral Homes, Hampden Heights.
