Leonard John Sabanos

Leonard John Sabanos, 84, of Shillington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Spruce Manor. He was the longtime companion of Mary Bodge, who predeceased him in August 2015.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Stephen and Catherine (Potasiewicz) Sabanos.

Leonard proudly served in the United States Army. Throughout his life, he had a diverse career, including working as security at the Borgata Casino. An avid Philadelphia Eagles fan, he enjoyed visiting casinos and beaches.

Leonard is survived by his daughter, Linda M. Simmons, of Mohnton; granddaughters, Samantha Forster, wife of Ben Forster, of Exeter Township; Tessa Simmons, fiancée of James, of Flying Hills; great-grandchildren, Parker Forster and Leo Forster; and brother, Barry Sabanos, of Lancaster. He was predeceased by his siblings, Dolores, Elizabeth, and Joseph.
