Louis J. McKale

Louis J. McKale, 80, of Exeter Township, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2025 at 10:49 pm at Penn State Health-St. Joseph Hospital. He was the husband of Sharon J. (Moll) McKale. Born in Reading, Mr. McKale was the son of the late Louis McKale, Jr. and Jane (Zawada) McKale Green. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era and served as the Colonial’s driver and was of the Catholic Faith. Mr. McKale was employed by Beacon Container in Birdsboro and Caloric Corp. in Topton as a truck driver until his retirement. He was an avid classic car enthusiast, enjoyed riding motorcycles along with hunting and fishing. In addition to his wife, Mr. McKale is survived by his sons John and Tim McKale both of Reading and several grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Janet M. “Cookie” Pietrobone wife of the late James Pietrobone of Reading; Vicki L. Clipp wife of the late Dean Clipp of Reading; Anthony McKale of Reading and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother James E. McKale husband of Lisa McKale who resides in Royersford.

Funeral Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home 6 Fairlane Road, Exeter Township, Monday, August 18, 2025 at 11:00 am. Reverend Van-Vien Nguyen will officiate. Interment with Military Honors rendered by the United States Army Honor Guard will follow at Berks County Memorial Gardens.
