Margaret J. Gehring

Margaret J. Gehring (Nye), 86, of Wernersville, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at her home. Born in Reading, Margaret was the daughter of the late Albert I. Nye and Ethel M. (Houser). Margaret graduated from Reading High School, class of 1954, and went on to graduate from Bryland Cosmetology School. She then worked as a bus driver for over 21 years for Wilson School District. 

Margaret is survived by her children, Linda J. Gehring, of Hamburg, Nancy J. Hafer, wife of Michael, of Reinholds, William M. Gehring, husband of Donna, of Bowmansville, and Brian C. Gehring, husband of Lisa, of Newmanstown. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. 

Margaret is predeceased by her brother, Richard A. Nye. 

Funeral service for Margaret will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave, Sinking Spring, on Friday, June 16, 2023, at 12:00 PM. Pastor Tim Sanger to officiate. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive relatives and guests in Bean Funeral Home, Sinking Spring, on Friday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
