Marian L. Ertel

Marian L. Ertel, 97, formerly of Exeter Township, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2026 at 3:52 am at Celebration Villa of Exeter Township. She was the wife of the late Thomas P. Ertel who passed away October 19, 1997. Born in Reading, Mrs. Ertel was the daughter of the late John J. and Theresa Frances (Wolff) Eiler. She was a 1946 graduate of Central Catholic High School and was a member of Saint Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, Exeter Township. Mrs. Ertel was employed as a secretary for Manpower and Kelly Services for a total of 12 years until her retirement. She also found great enjoyment working with clients through Office of Aging. She is survived by her children Deborah L. Hartman wife of Michael S. Hartman of Sinking Spring; William J. Ertel husband of Greta L. Ertel of Shoemakersville; Donna L. Wolf wife of Michael S. Wolf of Lincoln Park and her grandchildren Taylor, Kyle, Kelsey, Christen, Emma and her great grandchildren Vada, Henry, Oliver, Roman, Mary Rose. Mrs. Ertel was preceded in death by her granddaughter Lauren and her brother George Eiler.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church 4975 Boyertown Pike, Exeter Township, Friday, September 25, 2026 at 11:00 am. Reverend Brian M. Miller, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at Saint Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church Friday from 9:00 am to 10:30 am.
