Mark Adam Bachman, 70, of Spring Township, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2026 at home with his family. He was the husband of Mary Catherine (Loston) Bachman. Mark was born in Baltimore, MD, to the late Robert J. Bachman, Sr. and Anne (Buckley) Bachman. He grew up in Buffalo, NY and later received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Canisius College/SUNY at Buffalo.
Mark began his 37 year career in 1977 as an Engineer at Western Electric, which later became AT&T. Mark was retired, however he was most recently employed by Macom of Lowell, MA working out of the Allentown, PA branch as a Manager of Reliability Engineering.
Mark previously served as president of Wilson - Cornwall Terrace PTO and had been a board member at Wilshire and Lincoln Park Pools. Mark was previously active with Boy Scouts of America and had served as an officer for Wilson Jr. Soccer Club. He had coached many teams over the years for Wilson Jr. Soccer Club & Reading Berks Soccer. Mark loved playing and watching soccer and he participated in the Wyomissing Over 40 Men's Soccer League for many years (aka Old Men's Soccer).
In addition to his wife, Mark is survived by his children - Mary Frances A. Moxon, wife of Theodore B. Moxon, Jr. of West Reading, PA; Timothy N. Bachman of Beverly, MA; Christopher R. Bachman, husband of Nathalie Dalziel-Bachman of Aston, PA; Patrick M. Bachman of Sinking Spring, PA; Lisa E. Ludwig, wife of Ryan Ludwig of Wyomissing, PA. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren - Dawson & Olivia Bachman; Porter & Rhodes Ludwig; Grace & Violet Moxon. Also surviving are his siblings - Mary Kay Hickey, Paul Bachman, Robert J. Bachman, Jr., Andrew Bachman and his wife Virginia, David Bachman and his wife Lisa, Stephen Bachman and his wife Theresa, and Therese A. Bachman. He is also survived by his Sister-in-Law, JoAnn M. Loston and his Brother-in-Law Michael Loston.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Lee Hartner & Dr. Kristy Weber of Penn Medicine, Dr. Manoj Singla of Tower Health, and the Tower Health - Gateway Physical Therapists and Reception Team for their knowledge, support and guidance.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring on Thursday, August 27, 2026 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Friday from 8:30 am to 9:15 am. Funeral Procession will depart Bean Funeral Home on Friday, August 28, 2026 at 9:15 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church at 2600 St. Alban’s Drive, West Lawn. Burial to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery at 3139 Kutztown Rd, Reading.
