Martha Biery

Martha M. Biery, 91, formerly of Bechtelsville and Gilbertsville, passed away August 25, 2008 at 2:29 am in Frederick Mennonite Community, Upper Frederick Township, Montgomery County. She was the wife of the late Carl Q. Biery who passed away July 14, 1974. Born in Washington Township, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Ella(Stauffer) Moser. Mrs. Biery recieved her GED form Boyertown High School, was a sewing machine operator for Great American Knitting Mills of Bechtelsville and Superior Underwear Mills for many years.She was later employed as a nurses aide at Pottstown Memorial Hospital and Frederick Mennonite Community until her retirement. She was a life member of Hereford Mennonite Church in Bally, a member of the church choir for many years, women's group and Kitchen Band. Mrs. Biery was a Loving Mother to Ruth Ann (Biery) wife of Richard Kirk Haas, Sr. of Colony Park, Wyomissing, a Loving Grandmother to Richard K. Haas, Jr. husband of Sherry Haas of Wernersville and Carol Ann(Haas) husband of Joseph G. McCullough of Mt. Penn and a Loving Great Grandmother to Bryan K. Haas; Brynn N. Haas; Joseph G. McCullough II; Patrick C. McCullough. She is also survived by a brother LeRoy Moser of Gilbertsville and a sister Leona Long of Shenandoah, Schuylkill County along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters Emma Romig; Mary Conrad; Esther Moser and brothers Samuel and John Moser.
