Mary Jane Buntain

Mary Jane (Sturdevant) Buntain, 90, formerly of Birdsboro, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at The Residence of Boyertown, with her loving family by her side. She was the loving wife to Grover C. Buntain for over 68 years of marriage, before his passing on August 28, 2023. Born in Elbing, Kansas, Mary was the daughter of the late Floyd D. Sturdevant, and Mary Ellen (Albertson) Sturdevant.

Mary is survived by her children, Gale C. Buntain, husband of Cynthia, of McKinney, Texas, Deborah Bowlby, wife of Donald E. Bowlby, of Pottstown, grandchildren, Chelsea Slocum, wife of Robert, Buffie Hudock, wife of Daniel, Ryan Buntain, Christopher Bowlby, husband of Karen, and Corey Bowlby.
