Mary Ellen Crawford

Mary Ellen Crawford, 85, formerly of New Holland and a resident of the Heritage of Green Hills since 2015, passed away peacefully on Friday April 17, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years LeRoy A. Crawford who passed away on December 15, 2025. Born in Bangor, Maine, Mary Ellen was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Sylvia (Witherbee) Lovell. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Denver, PA and enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, knitting, crocheting and spending summers with her husband, children, grandchildren & great grandchildren and many other family & friends at the camp on the lake in Lincoln Maine. Mary Ellen is survived by her children Rhonda Beane wife of Danny Beane of Kirkwood; Bruce Crawford husband of Karen Crawford of New Holland; Mark A. Crawford of Gordonville and her 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Kenneth R. Lovell and a stepfather Lawrence J. Smith.

A Joint Celebration of Life Service for LeRoy & Mary Ellen will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 2:00 pm at New Holland American Legion, 35 South Hoover Ave. New Holland, PA 17557. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to or BAYADA Hospice at BAYADA Home Health Care.
