Mary Jane Keim

Mary Jane Keim, 93, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 4:30 pm at Phoebe Berks Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late James W. Keim who passed away January 24, 2008. Born in Reading, Mrs. Keim was the daughter of the late Morris and Katie (Stitzel) Geschwindt. She was a 1950 graduate of Hamburg High School and was the first medical secretary for the current Berks Eye Physicians & Surgeons, Ltd., retiring in 1994 after more than 40 years. Mrs. Keim is survived by her sister-in-law, Colleen G. Keim of Wyomissing; her nephew Douglas G. Keim husband of Debra A. Keim of Lower Heidelberg Township; her niece Stacey C. Andersson wife of Dustin E. Andersson of Wyomissing; her grand nephew Gary T. Keim of Shillington and her grand niece Gail N. Keim of Lower Heidelberg Township.

Mary Jane was predeceased by three brothers: Ray N.; Donald F.; and Harold H. Geschwindt and sister, Ruth H. (Geschwindt) Hasenauer.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring Friday, December 19, 2025 at 11:00 am. Amy S. Landis, Celebrant, will officiate. Interment will be held privately at Charles Evans Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory Friday from 10:30 am to 11:00 am.
