Miriam B. Carlance, “Mim”, 71, of Laureldale, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at the Reading Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Gene M. Carlance. Together they shared almost 28 years of marriage. Born on January 27, 1954, in Reading, she was the daughter of the late John and Cassandra (Barnett) Boucher. Miriam was a graduate of Muhlenberg High School Class of 1971. During her life, she worked for Alvernia University in the Admissions Department and currently at Kutztown University in the Registrar's Office. Miriam is survived by her husband Gene M. Carlance, of Laureldale; sister, Anita J. Smith, wife of C. Malcolm Smith III., of Wyomissing; and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her siblings, Ronald Boucher and Cassandra Kroenig. The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Homes 1605 Rockland Street Reading, PA 19604 on Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 6:00pm-8:00pm and on Friday, May 30, 2025, from 9:00am-10:00am. A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 10:30am at the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery 3139 Kutztown Road Reading, PA 19604. Burial to follow.
