Nancy Jean Gongoll

Nancy Jean Gongoll, 84, formerly of Exeter Township, passed away in her sleep, Wednesday September 17, 2025 at Celebration Villa, Exeter Township. Born in Antigo, Wisconsin, Nancy was the daughter of the late Vernon F. and Mary E. (Berg) Gongoll. She graduated from Governor Mifflin High School and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Kutztown University. She went on to become an Elementary Art Teacher in the Daniel Boone School District for 34 years retiring in 1998.

Nancy was a life member of Berks County Association of School Retirees and TWEAD, an organization of retired school employees from Twin Valley, Exeter, Antietam and Daniel Boone school districts.

She enjoyed traveling with her friends to places like Europe, Mexico, Egypt and many states in the US as well as various cruise ships adventures.

Nancy was an accomplished artist, painting many lovely pictures.

She enjoyed watching QVC on television and ordering different items from there.

Nancy had a wonderful sense of humor and was a real trooper while she was going through various health issues in the last few years.

Nancy was preceded in death by her sisters Marilyn Rethlefsen and Joan Stuckey. She is survived by her nephews Jeffrey J. Stuckey of Madison, Wisconsin; Scott H. Stuckey husband of Daniela Stuckey of Strongsville, Ohio and her friends Dora R. Brady, wife of Robert Groscup of Robeson Township and Carmon Dobbins of Exeter Township.

Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Onolaska Cemetery, Onolaska, Wisconsin. Memorial contributions may be made in Nancy’s memory to the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro PA 19508.
