Patricia R. Beane

Patricia R. Beane, 85, formerly of Exeter Township, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Celebration Villa of Exeter. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Beane with whom she celebrated 61 years of marriage. Born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Beane was the daughter of the late James E. Reese, Sr. and Phyllis V. (Griffith) Reese Fuller. She was a 1957 graduate of the former Mt. Penn High School, where she served as class Treasurer and was elected Prom Queen. She was a member of the former St. Stephen’s Reformed United Church of Christ in Reading serving as an Elder, choir member and as office secretary. She was also a member of the former First Reformed United Church of Christ in Reading. Mrs. Beane was employed as a teller at Mt. Penn Trust Company, Berks County Trust Company, American Bank and Meridian Bank, as the receptionist for Meridian Bancorp’s officers, and as a clerk at Jack Beane’s Food Market. Mrs. Beane was a Den Mother for Lorane Cub Scout Pack 319, an assistant Girl Scout leader, a past-President of the Mt. Penn Junior Women’s Club, and a member of the Women’s Club of Exeter Township. She is survived by her children David R. Beane, Esq., husband of Geraldine E. Beane of Reading; Dawn B. Barzd, wife of Thomas Barzd of Reading, and her grandchildren Connor Leinbach, Ryan Barzd, Abigail Barzd, J. Alexander Beane, husband of Melissa Beane, Andrew Beane and Victoria Beane. Mrs. Beane is also survived by her sister Wanda J. Bausher, wife of John Bausher of Reading and was preceded in death by her sister Nancy J. Henrich and brother James E. Reese, Jr. 

A memorial Service will be held at Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory 6 Fairlane Road, Exeter Township, Friday, September 13, 2024 at 11:00 am. Reverend Paul L. Jones will officiate. Interment will follow at Laureldale Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory Friday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday, September 13, 2024. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Mrs. Patricia R. Beane.
