Patricia Bender

Patricia A. Bender, 50, of Reading, passed away September 2, 2008 at 1:53 PM in St. Joseph Medical Center. She was the wife of Gerald A. Bender Sr. Born in St. Petersburg, FL, she was the daughter of Rosie M. (Althouse) Schwambach and step daughter of Paul R. Schwambach of Stony Creek.
She was a 1976 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School and attended RAAC. Patricia was loved by all that knew her, loved spending time with family and friends and was an avid Miami Dolphin's fan.
Patricia was employed as a certified nursing assistant by Berks Heim for 17 years.
Surviving in addition to her husband, mother and step father are 2 sons Gerald A. Bender Jr. of Shillington and Jason Michael Bender Sr. of Reading, 3 grandchildren Nathan A. Bender, Jason Michael Bender Jr. and Zachary Conrad, 3 sisters Cindy L. (Livinghouse) wife of Russell E. L. Schaner of Reading, Debbie L. (Schwambach) wife of Jerry Clay of Stony Creek and Judith A. (Schwambach) wife of Rocky A. Conrad of Reading, and a brother Jackie C. R. Schwambach of Reading, 7 nephews Barry L. Bender Jr., Bobby Brennan, Joseph Brennan, Russell Bender Jr., Russell E. L. Schaner Jr., Andrew Clay and Joseph Conrad, and 9 nieces Tracy Boyer, Susan Kremlech, Kathy Ulrich, Tina Buser, Lori Pflum, Jessica Maggs, Elizabeth Schaner, Danielle Conrad and Kristina Clay.
Services will be Monday at 11:00 AM in Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave., Sinking Spring. Rev. Carl W. Filer will officiate. Friends will be received Sunday 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Monday 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
