Peter Skias

Peter Skias, 68, of Lower Heidelberg Township, passed away Thursday, August 8,2024 at home while being cared for by his loving wife Jolene “Jo” Skias of 26 years.  Pete was born in Reading, PA and was the son of the late Chris and Shirley (Zuber) Skias. Pete was a long time welder at Dana Corporation until becoming an employee for East Penn Manufacturing in the maintenance department.  Pete was an active member and participant in the racing community, achieving countless wins and championships along the way. He was a mentor, hero and legend to many. He enjoyed bowling with his family and in leagues, bingo, camping, ice cream trips, wine tasting and above all, he loved his family.  In addition to his wife, Pete is survived by his children Michael C. Skias husband of Renee D. Skias of Sinking Spring; Nicholas P. Skias husband of Megan E. Skias of Reinholds; Tiffany M. Henry wife of Shane M. Henry of Spring Grove and his grandchildren Destiny, Faith, and Braxton. Also surviving is his brother Charles Skias husband of Maryann Skias of Mohnton. Pete was preceded in death by his brother Chris Skias husband of Joan Skias of Michigan and his sister Cathy Bollman wife of Michael Bollman of Temple.   Celebration of Life Service will be held at Chapel Hill Golf Course 2023 Old Lancaster Pike, Sinking Spring, PA 19608 Sunday, September 22, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm (Lite Luncheon).  Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring is in charge of arrangements and online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
