Ray Wenger

May 4, 1920 — November 3, 2008

Ray A. Wenger, 88, of Reading, passed away Monday November 3, 2008 in St. Joseph Medical Center where he was apatient for the past 12 days. He was predeceased by his wife Mary T. (Galiszanski) Wenger on December 22, 2002. They were married 61 years. Ray was the son of the late William and Margaret (Bitler) Wenger.
He is survived by five children, daughters Dolores D. Richards wife of R.E. Richards of Milford, DE and Dianne M. East-DeCoursey, wife of David DeCoursey of Reboboth Beach, DE, sons Barry R.. Wenger of Sedona, AZ, Jerome A. Wenger of Gouglersville, William P. Wenger and wife Patricia of Millsboro, DE, 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and two sisters Mildred Ruth of Richland and Barbara Plucker wife of Henry Plucker of Denver, and two special friends Jim Freeman and Nick Guthier.
Ray retired in 1980 from the former Firestone Tire and Rubber Co., Pottstown where he was employed for 34 years. He was a proud Army veteran, having served in WW II.
