Raymond J. Dautrich, 92, of Mohnton, passed away Monday, November 3rd, 2025 in the Reading Hospital surrounded by family. He was the widower of Sallie Dautrich who died October 13th 2019. Raymond was born in Reading on January 23rd, 1933, and graduated from Reading High. Raymond enlisted in the Army in 1953 and served in the Korean War. Upon his honorable discharge from the army Raymond attended Wyomissing Polytechnic Institute for one year, currently Penn State Berks Campus, while working full time at Bethlehem Steel. Following Bethlehem Steel Raymond worked at Carpenter Technology until he retired in 1990 at the age of 57. Raymond is survived by his children, Vickie L. Dautrich of Wernersville; Suzanne D. Jones, ex-wife of the late Robert Jones of Sinking Spring; Randy J. Dautrich, husband of Michelle Dautrich of Wernersville; his grandchildren, Zachary Jones, Tyler Dautrich, Kaila Stanizzi; wife of Rudy Stanizzi, Connor Dautrich; fiancé of Anastasiya Kowel, Adam Jones, Mckenna Clausman and his great granddaughters Savannah and Aria Stanizzi. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Kenneth E. Renno of Syracuse, New York.
Raymond enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and rarely missed a sporting, scouting or musical event. He loved spending time playing games with all his children and grandchildren and playing pinochle with friends. He always looked forward to his weekly Wednesday afternoons at the Carpenter Technology retiree club reminiscing and playing cards.
The family will receive relatives and friends, Saturday, November 22nd at 11am at Calvary United Methodist Church, 1 West Wyomissing Ave. in Mohnton, followed by a memorial Service at 12:00 pm. Pastor Nova will officiate with Interment following at Mohnsville Cemetery in Mohnton. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Calvary United Methodist Church.
