Richard Bachman

Richard Bachman, 78, formerly of Reading, passed away on Monday, December 8th, at 6:00 a.m. at Berks Leisure Living Center, where he had resided for the last four months.

Born in Shillington, he was a son of the late John Bachman and Millie (Keffer) Bachman.

He worked as a Sheet Metal Mechanic for Local 19 Sheet Metal in Reading for 28 years, retiring in 1990.

He was a former member of Immanuel U.C.C.- Shillington.

He loved to gamble, and especially trips to Delaware Park.

He is survived by a daughter: Pam, wife of David Hoffmaster of Hamburg; sons: Peter, husband of Victoria Bachman of Fleetwood; and Matthew, husband of Maureen Bachman of Hamburg.

There are also seven grandchildren: Rebecca, Bradley, Brianne, Angie, Amber, Tiffany, and Julia; and seven great grandchildren.

There is also one brother: Robert Bachman of Womelsdorf, and nieces and nephews.

He is pre deceased by his longtime companion: Sandra Sell; son: Mark Bachman, who passed away May 3, 2002, and brothers and sisters.
