Richard C. Davis

Richard C. Davis, 94, of Spring Township, passed away Monday, September 15, 2025 at Reading Hospital. Mr. Davis was the husband of the late Shirley Ann (Huyett) Davis. Born in Sinking Spring, he was the son of the late George and Sarah (Merkel) Davis. Mr. Davis was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sinking Spring where he sang for years in the Church Choir. He was also a Cub Scout Troop Leader and a graduate of Muhlenberg High School. Mr. Davis was a technician at Bell of PA for 36 years until his retirement in 1992. He was a Corporal in the United States Army during the Korean War. Mr. Davis is survived by his children Lynette Davis of Bernville and Bruce Davis, husband of Harmony Davis of Edinburgh, Scotland and his grandsons Charlie and Jack and his granddaughter Eloise. He was preceded in death by his siblings John Davis and Violet Cooley.

Funeral Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, Monday, September 22, 2025 at 12:00 pm. Reverend Rolf Schmidt will officiate. Interment with Military Honors rendered by the United States Army Honor Guard will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home Monday from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church 4125 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, PA 19608 in memory of Mr. Richard C. Davis.
