Richard B. Feicht

1930 — September 24, 2025

Wyomissing, PA

Richard B. Feicht (Dick), 95, of Wyomissing, passed away September 24, 2025. He was born in Reading, PA in 1930. He was the son of the late Cecelia (Richards) and Joseph C. Feicht, and predeceased by his four siblings Joseph, Theresa, Catherine and Karl. He grew up in Reading and graduated from Central Catholic High School. Dick earned an Associate Degree from Temple University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University. He was the first in his family to earn a college degree. He was in the ROTC program at Penn State and served in the US Army Signal Corps after graduation. Dick spent his career in the Bell System, retiring from Western Electric/Lucent in 1987. He worked in various locations, including Lawrenceville, NJ where he and his family lived for 16 years. Post retirement, Dick served on Wyomissing Boro Council and Water Authority.

Dick was married to Rose Marie (Ferrara) from 1957 to 2004, and had two daughters: Christina M. Feicht of New York City and Maria T. Feicht of Massachusetts. Dick loved his home on Reading Boulevard which he helped design and had built in 1980 as his forever home. His inquisitive nature drove his desire to learn about things that interested him such as how things operate, history and maps. He enjoyed traveling, especially in the US and Europe, fine food, classical music, PBS shows, and watching Penn State football. He was a season ticket holder of the Reading Symphony for many years. He loved animals, particularly cats and dogs. As an engineer he always loved to fix things in his home as well as in his daughters’ homes.

Dick is survived by his two daughters Christina and Maria. Thank you to The Heritage of Green Hills and all of his caregivers for the exceptional care of our beloved Dick. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Penn State University, The Reading Symphony or PBS/WITF of Harrisburg, PA. Arrangements entrusted to Bean Funeral Homes, Sinking Spring, PA.
