Richard E. "Rick" Hoffman, Sr.

Richard E. “Rick” Hoffman, Sr., 77, of Exeter Township, passed away Tuesday July 28, 2026 at 4:20 pm surround by his loving family. He was the husband of Linda L. (Porr) Hoffman. Born in Reading, Mr. Hoffman was the son of the late George and Anna (Miller) Hoffman. He was a graduate of Reading High School and was employed as a dispatcher for Volpe Express for 34 years until his retirement. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Richard E. Hoffman, Jr. at home; Lisa D. Hoffman at home; he was proud to be called Gramps by his grandson James “Jimmy” Mertz husband of Rebekah Mertz and his newest title great gramps to great granddaughter Marilyn Mertz. Mr. Hoffman is also survived by his siblings Linda Bechtel wife of the late David Bechtel of Exeter Township; Cyndi Herbst wife of Thomas Herbst of Florida; Julia Cherry wife of Rand Cherry of Exeter Township.

His passions were watching the Phillies, Eagles and Nascar. He enjoyed his time spent with family and listening to oldies.

Graveside Service will be held at the convenience of the family at Charles Evans Cemetery.
