Richard E. Reitz, 87, of Kenhorst, passed away Friday, December 1, 2023 at 1:30 am at Reading Hospital.  He was the husband of Christine A. (Turner) Reitz.  Born in Reading, Mr. Reitz was the son of the late Elmer S. and Margaret (Schlegel) Reitz.  He was a member of Saint John Baptist de la Salle Roman Catholic Church and served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict after graduating from Reading High School.    Mr. Reitz was a supervisor at Western Electric/AT&T for 36 years until his retirement.  In addition to his wife, Mr. Reitz is survived by his daughter Marie A. Moser wife of Todd C. Moser of Oley and his grandchildren Ryan Fretz, Ben Moser husband of Aubrey Moser, Randy Miley, Christina Reitz and his great grandchildren Olivia, Maddox and Nathan.  He was preceded in death by his son Richard B. Reitz husband of Stephanie (Miley) Reitz of Audubon, PA and his grandson Brad Fretz.

Graveside Service will be held at Gethsemane Cemetery 3139 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 10:00 am.  Deacon F. Joseph Lombardo will officiate.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Mr. Richard E. Reitz.  Bean Funeral Home, 129 East Lancaster Ave. Shillington is in charge of arrangements and online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
