Robert L. Hill

Robert L. Hill, 90, of Cumru Township, passed away Monday evening, March 20, at Reading Hospital.  He was the husband of the late Helen A. (Scheaffer) Hill who passed away September 14, 2014.  Born in West Reading, Mr. Hill was the son of the late Herbert and Hilda (Clark) Hill.  Mr. Hill was a 1950 graduate of Reading High School and served two years in the United States Army.  He returned to Reading and began working for Textile Machine Works in 1955, retiring as data processing manager for successor company Arrow International in 1993.  Upon retirement, he and his wife enjoyed traveling and their shared interest in classical music.  He was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church.  He is survived by his son Robert D. Hill of Middletown and was preceded in death by his siblings Marian, Dorothy and Edward.

Funeral Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home 129 East Lancaster Ave. Shillington Monday, March 27, 2023 at 1:00 pm.  Reverend Richard A. Nelson will officiate.  Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Shillington.  The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home Monday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.  Online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
