Robert Jacob “Bob” Kunsch, Jr.

Bob Kunsch, Jr. of Douglassville passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Pottstown Hospital at the age of 71. Bob was born in Phoenixville on October 23, 1951 to Robert J. Kunsch, Sr. and Marian (Doebling) Kunsch. Bob graduated from Phoenixville High School in 1969. He married Ann Cress on August 26^th 1972. They celebrated 50 years of marriage in 2022. He retired from Peco/Exelon at the Cromby station in 2011 with 40 years of service. Bob and Ann were blessed with 2 beautiful daughters, April Ann and Laura Beth. In his younger, healthier days Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting sporting clays, riding his Harley and drinking Jack Daniels with his good buddy, Mike Reynolds. Later in life he enjoyed golfing with his lifelong friend, Charley Miller. He especially loved spending time at his trailer along the Delaware river in Lackawaxen, Pa.

Bob is predeceased by his mother and his in-laws: Robert and Alice Cress. Bob is survived by his father, Bob Sr., his wife, Ann, his daughters April, wife of Michael Steinbacher and Laura, wife of Geoffrey Miner and 7 grandchildren: Jessica wife of Eric Dorsey, Kate and Andy Steinbacher, Colton Grater, Jaxson Miner, Garrett and Devan Miner and 2 great-granddaughters: Mia Isabel Dorsey and Willow Miner. He is also survived by his 2 brothers: Jeffrey Kunsch & companion Tina Halter, Thomas Kunsch and his wife Cindy, sister Sandra wife of William Matthews and numerous aunts, cousins, nieces & nephews. He also leaves behind the cats in his life especially his special bed and lap buddy, Nala.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Bean Funeral Homes 6 Fairlane Road Reading, PA 19606 on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at 3:00pm.  The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home from 1:00pm-3:00pm. Amy S. Landis, Certified Celebrant will officiate.
