Robert James McCarty

Robert James McCarty, 73, of Bernville, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center. He was the loving husband to Lee S. (Strodoski) for almost 45 Years of marriage. Born in Chester, Robert was the son of the late, James McCarty and Joy (Ward). Robert achieved his Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Mississippi, and went on to work in the banking industry throughout his career.

 Bob was a most intelligent man.  He loved to read and was well informed on many topics, especially history & financial news.  He was a true sports fan and loved the Phillies, Eagles, Flyers and Ole Miss football. He had two dogs and two cats that brought him much happiness. Most of all he was the beloved husband, confidant and best friend to his wife Lee.

In addition to his wife Lee, Robert is survived by his cousin, Letitia Shuman, of Delaware.
