Rocky Dean Hartzell

Rocky Dean Hartzell, 72, of Sinking Spring, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2026, at his home with his loving family by his side. Rocky was the loving husband to Teresa “Terri” (Reedy) Hartzell, for over 38 years of marriage. Born in Reading, Rocky was the son of the late, Harold Ray Hartzell, and Esther Mary (Craley) Hartzell. Rocky worked for AT & T for several years and went on to ALCON Manufacturing, retiring in 2018.

Rocky is survived by his children, Christopher M. Hartzell, of Lincoln Park, Jodi Ann Mears, wife of Daniel, of MD, stepson, Galen Carl Robinson, husband of Stephanie, of Reading, grandchildren, Andre, Tyrell, Brayden, Owen, Ethan, Sebastian, Xavier, Fadima and great granddaughter, Marianna. He is also survived by his siblings, Chipper Dale Hartzell and Rita Ray Hartzell.

In addition to his parents, Rocky is predeceased by his siblings, Kirby Ben Hartzell and Janet Lynn Hill.

A memorial service for Rocky will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at 12:00 PM in Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, PA 19608. The family will receive guests in Bean Funeral Home, Sinking Spring, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Rocky’s memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
