Ronald Lee Dentzer, 75, of Sinking Spring, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024, in Fox Chase Cancer Center. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Betty E. (Helfrich) and Clayton W. Dentzer. He was the loving husband of Elizabeth (Gibble) Dentzer and together they shared 18 years of marriage. Ron worked as an Electrical Engineer for Gilbert Commonwealth for 20 years then at Berks Career & Technology Center as a Building Occupation Teacher for 20 years before retiring. He was a member of St. John’s Reformed Church, where he held many positions on Consistory including President, Trustee, and Deacon. He was a member of the Sinking Spring Borough Council and was on the Board of Supervisors in Lower Heidelberg Township. Ron was very proud of building his own house and having a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. He loved working on cars and especially enjoyed Corvettes. He owned apartment buildings in Sinking Spring. Ron cherished every moment spent with his family and loved his grandchildren dearly.
In addition to his wife, Elizabeth, Ron is survived by his daughters, Tamara Hardick, wife of Jason of Sinking Spring and Christine Rapp, wife of Jeremy of Sinking Spring. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Angela, Evan, Cora, and Natalie. Ron is predeceased by his first wife, Cheryl N. (Smith), who passed away in 1997.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024, at 11:00 am in St. John’s Reformed Church, 4001 Penn Avenue, Sinking Spring. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, February 23, 2024, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am in St. John’s Reformed Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in honor of Mr. Ronald L. Dentzer to St. John’s Reformed Church, 4001 Penn Avenue, Sinking Spring, PA 19608 and/or to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
