Ruth H. Heist Sweitzer

Ruth H. Heist Sweitzer, 100, of Shillington, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026 at her home. She was the loving wife to her 2nd husband Henry B. Sweitzer who passed on January 4, 2009 and her first husband Robert D. Heist, who passed  October 3, 1997. Born in Reading, Ruth was the daughter of the late Frank W. Haas, and Helen M. (Ohlinger).

Ruth is survived by her son, Robert M. Heist, husband of Vali, and grandson, Robert E. Heist, husband of Valerie, of Florida. She is also survived by her great grandson, Beckett.

Services for Ruth will be held privately. Interment to be held at Fairview Cemetery Shillington. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Ruth's memory to The St. Francis House, or The Animal Rescue League of Berks County.
