Ruth M. Lehr

Ruth M. Lehr, 95, formerly of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 10:15 am at Rittenhouse Village Muhlenberg.  Born in York, Pennsylvania, Ruth was the daughter of the late George and Anna Rae (Hiestand) Haare.  She was of the Lutheran Faith.  Ruth was a bookkeeper for Wilcox Savage Law Firm in Norfolk, Virginia.  She loved to walk on the beach every day, work on crossword puzzles, and do yoga.  She loved spending time with her family & friends. Ruth is survived by her children Rena E. Zapata, wife of Dr. William A. Zapata of Spring Township; James P. Lehr of Sarasota, Florida; Mark A. Lehr, husband of Gail L. Lehr of Kenhorst; Scott M. Lehr of Laureldale and her 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 2 great great granddaughters.  She was preceded in death by her brother Wilbert Haare.
