Ruth Stout

Ruth E. Stout, 95, formerly of Oley and Reading, passed away on Friday, March 20th, at Kutztown Manor.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Ferdinand Drace and Myra (Detwiler) Drace.

She worked as a Banquet Waitress at Riveredge for 40 years, and an estimator at Vanity Fair Corporation in Wyomissing for 25 years, retiring in 1979. She was a member of St. Mark's United Church of Christ in Reading, where she taught Sunday School for 20 years. She was a member of the Golden Rule OES Chapter No. 390.

She is survived by her daughters: Sandra L. Stout of Reading; and Cynthia A. (Stout), wife of Alan P. Chmelewski of Fleetwood.

She is also survived by a grandson: Michael A. Chmelewski of Fleetwood.

She is also survived by a sister: Doris M., (Drace), widow of Vernon S. Beechert of Reading; and a Godchild: Bonnie (Brechert) Goodwin of Reading.
