Sara E. Gallagher

Sara E. Gallagher, 88, of Exeter Township, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 10, 2024 at Penn State Health St. Joseph. She was the beloved wife for over 52 years of John Gallagher, who passed away in 2014.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Ethel (Keith) Heilman. Sara graduated from Kutztown University in 1952, with a Bachelors Degree in Education. During her life, she was a teacher for the Reading School District for 30 years, before retiring in 1991.   

Sara loved and most enjoyed spending time with her family.  She also enjoyed shopping with her daughter Terri, having lunch and spending time with her friends, spending time at the beach in Ocean City, NJ and more recently Long Branch, NJ….as well as playing bingo and going to the casino.   

Sara is survived by her daughter, Terri Ruoff, wife of Jim Ruoff, of Exeter Township; grandchildren, Cole J. Ruoff, of Exeter Township; and Rayne L. Ruoff, of Long Branch, NJ.
