Shirley H. Davis

Shirley H. Davis, 89, of West Lawn, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 5:51 pm at Maidencreek Place.  She was the wife of Richard C. Davis.  Born in Reading, Mrs. Davis was the daughter of the late Claude and Helen (Sheidy) Huyett.  She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sinking Spring where she was active in the Women’s Club, a member of the Choir and a Sunday School Teacher for 40 years. Mrs. Davis was a 1952 graduate of Reading High School.  In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Lynette E. Davis of Bernville, Bruce C. Davis of Edinburgh, Scotland and her 3 grandchildren.  Mrs. Davis is also survived by her brother David H. Huyett of Shillington and her sister Marilyn J. Becker wife of H. James Becker, Jr. of New Jersey. 

Funeral Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 1:30 pm.  Reverend Richard Moore will officiate.   Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery.  The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home Thursday from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Samaritan’s Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607 in memory of Mrs. Shirley H.
