Shirley V. Marzari

Shirley V. Marzari, 79, of Leesport, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2025 at 8:20 pm in her residence. She was the wife of David Stephan Unger. Born in Erie, Mrs. Marzari was the daughter of the late Victor Richard Nelson and Mary Elizabeth “Bobbie” (Schuster) Nelson. She was a graduate of RJ Reynolds High School in Winston Salem, North Carolina and was a member of Calvary Bible Fellowship Church in Sinking Spring. Mrs. Marzari was employed in the Human Resource and Payroll Department at Berks Products and later as a Library Clerk at Schuylkill Valley Community Library. In addition to her husband Mrs. Marzari is survived by her step-daughters Dori Marzari Barrett of California; Melissa Marzari Wildermuth of Lynchburg, Virginia; her brother Richard “Rick” Dennis Nelson husband of Lillian Nelson of Charlotte, North Carolina; her sister Barbara Nelson Childress wife of Phillip Childress of Winston Salem, North Carolina and was preceded in death by her second husband Joseph Marzari in 1992.

Memorial Service will be held at Calvary Bible Fellowship Church 4891 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring Friday, July 25, 2025 at 10:00 am. Pastor Wayne Rissmiller will officiate. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at Calvary Bible Fellowship Church Friday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Calvary Bible Fellowship Church at the above mentioned address in memory of Mrs. Shirley V. Marzari.
