Sorrell “Saul” Eisenberg, 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Berks Heim Nursing & Rehabilitation. Born in Philadelphia, April 11, 1938, he was the son of the late Nathan and Bessie Eisenberg. He is predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Donna (Chadwin) Eisenberg and brother, Arthur Eisenberg. He is survived by his son; Neil Eisenberg, Shillington, and two grandchildren; Brittany Eisenberg, Wyomissing, and Matthew Eisenberg, Sinking Spring. Saul was a Temple University graduate of 1960, where he studied at the Temple School of Pharmacy. Saul served his country as a member of the United States Army. He worked for Boscovs Dept Store for many years as a buyer in the cosmetics health and beauty department. He was a devoted member of Congregation Shomrei Habrith. Saul was an avid cards player and enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in extracurricular activities as well as watching his son on the tennis court.
Graveside will be held at Shomre Habrith Cemetery - Route 724 and Route 10 Reading, PA 19607, Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 10:00am. Rabbi Yosef Y. Lipsker will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) 200 South Park Road, Suite 100, Hollywood, Fl 33021.
