Stephanie Leigh Bloss

Stephanie Leigh Bloss (Ravel), 44, of Shillington, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025. Born in Reading, Stephanie was the daughter of Thomas C. Ravel and Julie M. (Storm) White, wife of Steven L. White of Shillington. She was the ex-wife and best friend of Robert S. Bloss who was her constant support and companion for the last 23 years.

She was an 8th grade English Teacher in the Reading School District, where she developed a deep love for serving the underprivileged population and was known for her passion for literature and her dedication to her students.

Stephanie’s greatest accomplishment in life was her two beloved children, Sarah A. Bloss and Daniel R. Bloss, both of West Lawn. She would often be found cheering them on at their sporting events, bursting with pride. To know her was to love her. She was an avid lover of nature, travel, and animals, and could frequently be found with a book in hand, escaping into stories.

In addition to her children and parents, Stephanie is survived by her sister Haley E. Barton, wife of Brendan S. Barton, and her nephew Jameson, all of West Lawn; her paternal grandmother Helen Ravel of Wyomissing; and her maternal grandmother Joyce Storm of Vestal, New York. She is also survived by her dearest friends Meredith and Spencer, who were like family to her.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the convenience of the family. Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3825 Penn Ave., Sinking Spring, is in charge of arrangements.
