Theodore Ostrowski

Theodore L. “Ted” Ostrowski, 82, of Mount Penn, passed away Monday December 20, 2021 at 7:35 am in Reading Hospital.  He was the husband of Geraldine M. (Debkowski) Ostrowski with whom he celebrated 58 years of marriage.  Born in Reading, Mr. Ostrowski was the son of the late Sylvester and Olga (Pickto) Ostrowski.   He was a graduate of Reading High School, and he served in the United States Navy.  Mr. Ostrowski was a carpenter and member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Union #1595.  He was a member of the Daniel Boone Rod and Gun club.  In his children’s youth he was a Webelos leader for Cub Scout Pack 358, and he helped coach the summer baseball league for Antietam Valley Recreation.  He was known to enjoy Hallmark Christmas movies, Credence Clearwater Revival, and the Sunday morning polka party on the radio.   A devout member of Saint Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, he was a faithful volunteer in the collection counting room every Sunday.  In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Christopher A. Ostrowski, husband of Laura A. Ostrowski of Annandale, NJ; Stephen M. Ostrowski, husband of Anne M. Ostrowski of Mohrsville; Maria K. Adams, wife of Edward C. Adams of Pennside; Nicholas J. Ostrowski, husband of Mary T. Ostrowski of Spring City and his grandchildren Rebecca, Maribeth, Stephanie, Melissa, Benjamin, Brian and Sam.  He was preceded in death by his brother Thomas Ostrowski.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church 4975 Boyertown Pike, Exeter Township, Thursday January 6, 2022 at 11:00 am.  Reverend Monsignor Edward R. Domin, Celebrant.  Interment with Military Honors rendered by the United States Navy and American Legion Post 217 will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.    The family will receive relatives and friends at Saint Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church from 9:00 am to 10:45 am.  Bean Funeral Home, 6 Fairlane Road, Exeter Township is in charge of arrangements.   Online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
