Theodore F. “Ted” Trievel, 74, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 6:10 am in Berks Heim. He was the husband of the late Pauline (McCaully) Trievel who passed away in 1991. Born in Reading, Mr. Trievel was the son of the late Theodore F. Trievel, Sr. and Joyce L. (Pennepacker) Trievel. He was a member of Kissinger’s Church, Wyomissing and served in the United States Army in Vietnam. He worked in maintenance for various companies in the Reading area. Mr. Trievel was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Association,Reading BerksCo #10 He is survived by his step-daughter Grace E. Peterson, wife of David J. Peterson of Reinholds; grandchildren Amanda Simpson, wife of Nicholas Simpson and Michael Peterson and his friend Jen Depuydt; great grandchildren Kylie and Max Simpson and Jael and Wren Peterson. His longtime companion Shirley Bender and her daughter Faith Heim.He is also survived by his siblings Sue Oister, wife of Rusty Oister of Gilbertsville; Janice Amole of Exeter Township; Steven Trievel, husband of Nancy Trievel of Mohnton; Keith Trievel of Sanatoga He enjoyed watching football and hockey and was an avid Reading Royal fan.Funeral Service will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 10:00 am. Reverend David Reinwald will officiate. Interment with Military Honors rendered by the United States Army Honor Guard will follow at Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery, Stouchsburg. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home Saturday 9:00 am to 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Kissinger’s Church 715 Berkshire Blvd. Wyomissing, PA 19610 in memory of Mr. Theodore F. Trievel.
