Thomas R. Garrigan

Thomas R. Garrigan, 85, of Shillington, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026, at his home. He was the loving husband to Kathleen Ann (Wilson) Garrigan, for over 63 years of marriage. Born in Reading, Thomas was the son of the late John F. Garrigan, and Alice (Luppold) Garrigan. Thomas was a graduate of Reading High School, upon graduating, Thomas served in The United States Navy. Tom was employed over the years at UGI, Gilbert Associates, Greene Tweed, and finally Goodwill Corporate office, fully retiring in December 2025. Tom's interests included all his cars over the years, especially his 57’ Chevy, archery in his younger years, and the occasional Jack and Coke, always a double. Above all he loved his family.

In addition to his wife Kathleen, Thomas is survived by his sons, John Garrigan, husband of Connie, of Bernville, and Rob Garrigan, husband of Elizabeth, of Shillington. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Heather Kriner, Matthew, Garrigan, Justin Garrigan, Madison Stutzman, and great grandchildren, Ella, Elizabeth, Layla, Penelope, Sarah, Dillon, Evan, as well as his sister, Jane Zimmerman, of Bowmansville.

A memorial service for Thomas will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026, at 2:00 PM, in Bean Funeral Home, 129 E. Lancaster Ave. Shillington, PA 19607. The family will receive relatives and guests in Bean Funeral Home on Monday, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Thomas’s memory to Goodwill or Safe Berks.
