Tyra Von Green

Tyra Von Green, 71, of Exeter Township, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025. Born on August 6, 1953, in Philadelphia, to parents Mark and Edna (Savage) Craig.

Tyra was a graduate of Overbrook High School Class of 1970. During her life, she work for the Philadelphia Prison System as a Corrections Officer for 30 years, until retiring in 2008. Tyra loved basketball, and enjoyed painting revealing her as a talented artist.

Tyra is survived by her sons, Dennis Green Jr., husband of Mykia Green, of Douglassville; Derrick Von Green, of Hagerstown, Maryland; former husband Dennis Green Sr. ;grandchildren, Jasmine Green, Christopher Ford, Aiden Green,; great-grandchild, Zaire Ford; brothers, Raymond Craig, Nathaniel Craig, Edward Craig; sister-in-law- Donna Wilson; her extended sons and special nephews William Craig and Mark Craig.

Funeral Service will be held at Community Bible Tabernacle 5220 Wynnefiled Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19131 on Friday, May 23, 2025 at 11:00am. Pastor Stacey W. Roberts will officiate.
