Virgil C. Long, 79, of West Lawn, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Reading Hospital. He was the loving husband to Karen L. (Pfleger) Long for over 56 years of marriage. Born in Bethel Township, at home in the Blue Mountains, Virgil was the son of the late, Carl W. Long, and Beatrice (Troutman). Virgil was a graduate of Conrad Weiser High School and went on to serve in the United States Marines, during the Vietnam War. He worked as a polisher for over 40 years at Aluminum Alloys in Sinking Spring.

Virgil is survived by his daughter, Denise Y. Spease, wife of Steven S. of Reading, son, Brian V. Long, husband of Sandra L. of Sinking Spring, and grandchildren, Lauren Rightmyer, wife of Cory, Adam Long, Nicholas Spease and Alex Long.
