It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Virginia S. Freyling, 95 years young of the Heritage of Green Hills, Reading PA on November 9, 2025 in Reading Hospital. Virginia was the wife of the late Nelson Freyling, sharing 68 years of marriage. Born in Easton, PA., she was a daughter of the late Harold and Marian (Adamson) Rogers.
Virginia graduated from Easton High school, Class of 1948. She was employed by Sheridan Machine prior to her marriage. She and Nelson previously lived in Easton and Phillipsburg NJ before relocating to Reading where they raised their late sons Scott and Gregg. In later years they also had a beach home in Chincoteague VA.
Virginia cared deeply for the less fortunate and volunteered with after school program and along with her husband served Thanksgiving dinner for years at the local soup kitchen. Right up until her death she was sharp as a tack, physically sound and always impeccably dressed. You couldn't help but laugh at her stories from the past; her humor was infectious. Ginny, as many knew her, enjoyed going antiquing, reading, doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles, and socializing with her friends at the Heritage.
Virginia is survived by her beloved grandchildren Skyler, Irelyn and Lauren, her daughter-in-law Diane, nephews and nieces.
Along with her husband and sons, she was predeceased by a sister Elizabeth Dold Wesley.
Memorial donations in Virginia's name may be made to the Lincoln Park United Methodist Church, or your local food bank or library.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Heritage of Green Hills on January 21 in the Brandywine room at 11:30. Interment in Easton private.
